When you have a dog, there are many areas where you may need some advice, like finding a vet in the area. You have some to the right place. If you do not find the information needed or have a question, please send me an email and I will send you further information.
What is the
difference between training and behavior modification? Training is
teaching a dog to do something, like sit, stand, shake. While behavior
modification is changing a natural, enjoyable activity to the dog to
something acceptable to you, like chewing on a table leg changed to chewing
on a Nylabone. Training enhances behavior modification in many cases by
providing another action (like sitting to meet a visitor) to do rather than
an inappropriate action (like jumping on people to be greeted).
