Training your dog requires you to understand the mind of the dog and realize you are requesting things of him or her that are not natural to him or her.  Your patience and commitment needs to be up for this task!

If you are new to training your dog, you may consider attending a group class in your area and then use this information as supplemental.  You can also consider my prepare a plan or my email of phone consultations.

The key to successfully train your dog is to keep it fun!  If you find yourself feeling tense or frustrated, stop the training session. Your tension will impact the dog's performance and not in a good way.  You can start up later or the next day when you are feeling less tense.

The links on the side menu are not in any particular order in which you should review the material.  You can proceed through the information at your own pace.  If you need more information or clarification, please me an email and I will send you further information.

Each day you should only introduce a 1-3 new commands and do a run through for about 5 or 10 minutes of what you have learned so far.  This will warm you and your dog up and get the training started.

Good Luck and by all means HAVE FUN!
